Cheese Making

Pickling
Interested in learning how to make your own pickles and ferments from scratch?

In this fun, interactive workshop for beginners, we will guide you through the basics of pickling and fermenting. You’ll make a quick cucumber pickle and simple homemade sauerkraut, plus gain tips and recipes for pickled onions and preserved lemons to try at home.

All ingredients are provided, just bring your own knife and chopping board. No need to worry about containers either; we’ll provide glass jars for you to take home your delicious ferments.

Jam Making
In this hands-on workshop, discover the simple pleasure of making jam from scratch. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients and time-honoured methods, you’ll learn how to balance flavour and achieve the perfect set, while building the confidence to troubleshoot common jam-making challenges as you create your own small-batch preserves.

We will also talk through making your own low to no sugar jams with recipes you can create at home.

Sourdough Bread
The magic of sourdough starts long before the bread is baked.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create and care for your own sourdough starter (“mother”), including how to feed it and keep it thriving for future bakes. We’ll also show you how to use leftover starter with easy, delicious recipes so nothing goes to waste, and go stey by step through common concerns when making sourdough.

You’ll leave with a full sourdough bread recipe, a new sourdough starter and tips on how to succeed on your next loaf, so you can bake with confidence at home.

EasyOven - Heat Retention Cooking 

Cooking made easy! 

In this hands-on workshop, learn how to cook with the EasyOven, created by Country Feeling Australia co-founder Joanne, and discover the ease of heat-retention cooking. You’ll be guided through how to start dishes on the stove and let them gently continue the cooking process in the EasyOven, creating flavourful, tender meals with less hands-on time.

We’ll provide recipes showing how to use the EasyOven across a variety of everyday meals, plus tips to adapt your own favourites.

You’ll leave with a variety of simple recipes and your very own EasyOven at home or off-grid.
